Jet Set 05:54
She drove a tricked-out, top-down, rockin' jalopy That she bought with an IOU She was a well-read, well-bred opulent Aussie Who had dropped out of NYU She was a free bird Not believing what she heard Like a tiger when she purred And I wanna make her mine She was a hard-to-get jet set sunny vacation From a nation of icy freeze She was a palm tree, white beach, pretty location And her face brought me to my knees She was a good girl Doing all that she could girl Whatsoever she would girl And I wanna make her mine On my mind I think about her all the time I think about her almond eyes I think about her smile She got me speechless, gaga I drop my jaw I'm impressed, Father I guess I better Confess, Lord what she's doing to me I wanna make her mine She was a hot rod, good God, Magical potion in an ocean of DOA's She was an ice cream, pipe dream Musical motion and I'm hopin' that she looks my way She was a bright light Burning flame in the night time Showing up at the right time Never late and I wanna make her mine Girl, you could be my life My light My everything That'd be just fine Let's take a walk in the sunshine Let's drink it in like a fine wine Let's live our lives on the bright side Just don't forget what I'm telling ya Darlin', you could be my life My light My everything That'd be divine Let's open up what we've shut down Let's let it in what we've locked out Let's set it straight what was turned round With love like this, I know we'll be fine I was an average guy Humble as pie I wasn't really sure what to say but We would pass in the street And our eyes would suddenly meet And you would smile at me Something's bringing us closer I was a rag tag, dime bag, decadent dreamer Who was weened here in SLC I was an unlocked prog rock nothing to see here Who would doubt his divinity She was a deep breath Cheer me up when I'm depressed Calm me down when I'm upset And I wanna make her mine On my mind I think about her all the time I think about her almond eyes I think about her smile She got me speechless, gaga I drop my jaw I'm impressed, Father I guess I better Confess, Lord what she's doing to me I wanna make her mine We could be more than before, babe we could make a good team If you'd be my life And we could live long, love strong, babe we could make a new dream If you'd be my wife Cause you're the right one Shining out like a bright sun Flying high as a kite and I I wanna make you mine

Harvey 06:07
Harvey was a smart man But he didn't really understand The implications of the things he was seeing. For time and space had been erased, Reality had been replaced With a swirling soup of colors, lines, and feelings. Perhaps I'd better mention About Harvey's new invention. It's a wacky, space-age form of transportation. He made a ship that's most unique Cause all you have to do is think, And bam! Instantly you're at your destination They said it couldn't be done, but he did it The odds were a billion to one, but he did it How would you know where to go if you only had to think it? What would it mean if your dreams were only just a thought away? Thy said it couldn't be done, but he did it The odds were a billion to one Harvey climbed into the ship and Sat with his hands on the wheel and turned the engine on He thought of a place far away, and suddenly the ship was gone Harvey Where ya wanna fly to? You just close your eyes and pick a place You just take a seat and fly away Harvey This is such a big world Will you only travel on your own? Will you ever dream of coming home? Harvey was a smart man, But the trip didn't go the way he planned But that's just the risk you take when you're exploring When the ship phased out of this dimension, Harvey's mind was racked with tension, He wavered in his thoughts' attention And the ship, it lost direction! And his little human mind was stretched beyond its sized And shattered and then scattered through the cosmos! And what he saw was more than real Kaleidoscopic neon fields A soulful song, a loving voice And Harvey wept with joy They wondered where has he gone? Is he all right? This is taking too long! Is he all right? How would you know where to go if you only had to think it? What would it mean if your dreams were only just a thought away? They wondered where has he gone? Is he all right? This is taking too long! And that's right about the time the ship reappeared And they cheered! And our hero climbed out and they Asked where he'd been, and he grinned, And he simply said, "To everywhere." Harvey Where ya wanna fly to? You just close your eyes and pick a place You just take a seat and fly away Harvey This is such a big world Will you only travel on your own? Will you ever dream of coming home? And I know This is just beginning But it's been a long and rocky road And it's been so hard to let you go But Harvey Will you take me with you? Can we see the planets and the stars? Will we learn the truth of who we are?

Let it go Let it unfold Do what you want In the depths of the mine, there are emeralds and diamonds Go go get it Take your time Make up your mind Do what you want Where the riches are found, all the forest are chopped down Time is a meadow of kale Is an artisan well Is the dance of the seven veils In all respects, We are linguistic architects Building bridges with alphabets And bended knees Now we will drink of the water of life We will harvest the worms and the spice We drum to the Dance of the Seven Veils Just know our attitude More than logic or latitude Politics or the fat we chew Is how our life will be Overflow Try to recall What we forgot On the tip of the brain But we can't seem to make out Let it go Let it unfold Do what you want Of the voices inside, there is One that can guide you

Owing to misery We learn eventually But I'm not so sure That time can cure All the waiting pains That we've endured I am only a dilettante Waiting for something to truly want And I'm well aware Of a room upstairs Where waiting souls Sit on wooden chairs Under a full red moon I'll find you and we'll walk through the night And I'll see that you Found what you always knew you had to, you opened your eyes Could it be that you Never were lost at all, but blossoms can't be hurried to bloom Could it be that you Always were on your way, your door will be opening soon This is only the waiting room Maybe it's foolish to think as such, but Maybe Godot really will show up As the sunset dims As the dark drifts in Will you stay with me To wait up for him? God when will it be our turn? There's a prayer in my heart but my mind can't remember the words So I sit and wait And I contemplate Has the moment passed? Is it far too late? You will see You're right where you need to be We'll remind you As many times as we need to Over and over Over and over Over and over

about

I wrote and recorded these four songs in my apartment in Suwon, South Korea. They are a reaction to/expression of my time living in Asia.
